A degree in Web Design, Web Development or related area is required.

We prefer 1-3 years’ experience developing customer experiences for E-Commerce.

Experience in design, usability, coding and /or media production is preferred.

A strong working knowledge of CSS, HTML, Photoshop/Dreamweaver, Flash, and JavaScript including additional training in progressive technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, and responsive design are desired.

With an ongoing commitment to community involvement, Mason Companies recently participated in the National Footwear Community Service Week by helping with cleanup of two popular spots in Chippewa Falls.

In cooperation with the Two Ten foundation and the Chippewa Falls Parks and Recreation department, 15 Mason employees volunteered their time for the Main Street “Let’s Talk Trash” Earth Day Clean-Up held on April 20^th, and 47 helped out for the cleanup of Irvine Park on April 26^th.

Together, Mason employees raised a little over $5000 from the event. Half of the proceeds will go to the Two Ten Foundation – a charity that offers financial assistance, counseling and scholarships for those working in the footwear industry. The other half of the money raised will go to local charities within the Chippewa Valley.

Each week, the two teams with the lowest percentage of weight loss will send home one team member. Any players who gain weight for the week must bring in a non-perishable food item for charitable donation. An individual player can gain immunity by losing 1% of their weight from the previous week.

The team with the highest total percentage of weight loss at the end of the competition will split a $600 grand prize. There’s also a  $200 cash prize for the individual participant who lost the largest percentage of weight throughout the competition – the player does not need to be on the winning team to qualify. In addition, eliminated players can still compete for an individual $100 cash prize at the final weigh-in.

The Mason Wellness Committee organizes the annual twelve-week weight loss program. Good luck to all of this year’s participants!

It was a night of good food, endless laughs and great company.

The annual Mason Companies, Inc. Christmas party was held on Friday, January 4th at Avalon Hotel and Conference Center in Chippewa Falls. The party was scheduled after Christmas again this year to accommodate the busy holiday season for the company.

Every year, the Planning Committee finds a comedian to entertain the employees for the evening. This year the entertainment included famed comic ventriloquist David Malmberg.

There were also gifts to give away throughout the evening – some of the prizes included chocolate truffles, a George Foreman Grill and gift certificates for several area businesses.

The annual Christmas party is a great way to conclude a busy holiday season for the company. Here’s to a great 2013 – we look forward to seeing all of you at next year’s party!

This year, the distribution team at the WOW facility held a holiday drive for the Chippewa County Humane Association. Employees donated a variety pet food, treats, toys, cleaning supplies and more to the local shelter.

For every $3 of goods or money donated, WOW employees put their name on a paw to be entered in the “Paw Drawing” at the end of the season – over 70 paws were collected. Prizes included a homemade fleece blanket, hand-made painted ornaments, and gift cards for Gordy’s and Olson’s Ice Cream.

‘Ham Day’ also brings with it the opportunity for employees to have a little fun!  In years past departments ‘decked the halls’ with festive decorations for judging.  With another busy holiday season this year, the contest was changed to be an individual ‘ugly’ Christmas sweater contest.  Employees were judged on their most loud and festive holiday sweaters.  It was a tough decision for judges to pick just three winners out of the over 40 participants!

The city held it’s annual “Bridge To Wonderland” holiday parade on Saturday, Dec. 1^st. The parade is held the first week of December, and runs through Bridge St. in downtown Chippewa. Over 50 floats and walking units from area organizations and businesses took part again this year, dressing in “Big Top”-inspired attire for the parade’s “Christmas At The Circus” theme.

Mason Companies once again took part in the Christmas tradition.  Employees decorated the trademark Mason boot float with lights and circus animals. Parade walkers wore animal hats, clown wigs and handed cotton candy to attendees along the parade route.

The “Bridge To Wonderland” parade is the city’s largest holiday event, and officially kicks off the Christmas season.

Many people in the Northeast have lost everything and are in need of the most basic things including footwear and clothing.  “Mason Companies has a long history of providing aide to individuals in need and feels fortunate that we are able to provide some relief to our fellow Americans in the Northeast”, stated Dan Hunt, President/CEO.

Mason Companies is proud to have teamed up with Soles4Souls, an organization that facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid people in need worldwide.  Shoe companies, retailers, and individuals can donate footwear (both new and used) through this organization.  Soles4Souls is coordinating a massive campaign to provide assistance.  They are also collecting apparel, blankets and other items.  “Mason Companies is proud to be a part of this massive campaign”, said Dan Hunt, “the shoe industry has long been known for its generosity to those in need”.
